Happy New Year (and art!)

This year, I'm trying something new: watercolor pencils.

For some reason, watercolor paints never clicked with me. I'm guilty of always overpainting and having no control over where my brush is going or what layers and colors I'm applying. However, I've always loved colored pencils. After seeing some of the art on DeviantArt and realizing that watercolor pencils are a thing, I've decided to see what I can do with them.

​I took them out for a spin today with some Carbot-style Hots characters:

It was fairly difficult to scan this. I ended up having to photograph it and it's late at night, so I apologize.
