50k words, no excuses this time. Let's all get up and BITCH (butt in the chair, honey!)
I have:
There's that literary journal I need to publish, still, and I'd like to have that done before the flash workshop begins on July 11th, but now I think it'd be better to publish it after the 4th. Likewise, I have some important guild meetings this month ahead of WoW's Legion expansion. So, it's never not nothing. Please let me know if you are doing Campnano this month, and good luck to all my fellow writers.

I'm working on a giant, gallery wrap (well, it's only 18x24, but it's larger than my usual). I want to contrast the way an open nebula looks in space with this idea of darkness, but so far it's going in a more symbolist direction than I expected. This is the progression of a previous WIP that I think is doing quite well. It still has a Monet-y vibe to me, but it's coming along nicely.
I have a long revision list. Nanowrimo has an April session called Camp Nano that a) isn't in November, b) lets you set specific word count goals, and c) is awesome for generating and revising work.
I have a lot of work to do on my thesis novel as well as the novella I wrote during Nano in November 2013, which I have definitively decided is a novella. I also have some short stories and flash works that need love. Although I sent out some flash for the end of March submission dates, I'd love to add more to my portfolio. So, this Nano is a 50k word goal with revision as its main focus. Will you be doing Nano? Would you be interested in doing the camp session in July? I'll keep posting to hold myself accountable, but I intend to be a winner at the end of the month. |
