I'll be leaving for Uganda in two days. I've set up this website to function as a mini-blog. We won't have internet for some of the trip, but, when we do, I'll be trying to post on social media and/or here with my thoughts.
We've received a tentative schedule filled with long bus rides, exciting observations and meetings with the program, its administrators, and its participants, and many of the beautiful sights of natural Uganda. I have some last-minute minor acquisitions to make such as trying to find a pair of binoculars, buying a durable sun hat since mine is a cheapo that flies off my head if someone breathes on me, and getting some emergency protein bars in case there's a meal I can't really eat (because that never happens or anything).
In the meantime, feel free to buy some art, prints, or merchandise if you want to help with my personal expenses, or check out BeadforLife's site for some fantastic jewelry and shea products. The fall collection just came out and it's to die for, so consider treating yourself or getting an early Christmas gift!
